  • KATY SMITH

Senior Stylist – Currently on Maternity Leave

Katy signed up for an after-school job in a hairdressing salon, not expecting to do much more than cleaning and a few odd jobs.
Despite this, the world of hairdressing had other plans for Katy and before she knew it, she was on the floor and switching out sweeping for styling.

That after school job changed her life, resulting in a much-loved career and she has never looked back. Katy is especially proud that thanks to her precision techniques she gets to be the reason that her client’s leave the salon feeling like the most beautiful version of themselves.

  • COWAN WYATT

    Senior Stylist
Not only has our hair industry rockstar Cowan snagged a 'Salon of the Year' award, but he's also been the guiding light for many up-and-coming hairdressers. Plus, he once ran a chic salon in Auckland.

Here's a quirky bit: Cowan's a tad colourblind. But guess what? He's turned it into his superpower when mastering hair colours. When he's not weaving hair magic, he's either enjoying some delicious grub or spending quality time with his loved ones.

And for the future? He's got eyes on some world travels and maybe even opening his own business.

  • ALEISHA MCLAY

Emerging Senior- Currently on Maternity Leave

There’s not much that our Aleisha can’t do!

Not only did she build her car from scratch (seriously!), but she mastered her braiding techniques on her horses’ in-between competitions!

  • TEGAN BOATH

    Emerging Senior

There isn’t a colour of the rainbow that Tegan doesn’t love! She enjoys experimenting with bright and playful colours and is looking forward to becoming a fully qualified hairdresser in the future! Tegan can’t get enough of those full hair transformation moments.

Inspired by her family who simply loved their careers, Tegan joined the industry 3 years ago and has never looked back.

Now, don’t be tricked by this one rolling her R’s. She’s never actually lived in Southland!

  • CHELSEA KAROTU

Administration Assistant / Makeup Artist / Custom Blending

Chelsea is the computer wizard that keeps the salon (and all of us) running smoothly. We can’t live without this organisation queen and love when her sharp wit comes out to play behind her quiet demeanour.

She is also a talented makeup artist and custom foundation blender as well as being a proud working mum to her two children.

She comes from a large close-knit family, so close in fact that one of her sisters and niece works in our salon too!

  • ALEESHA HASLEMORE-SMITH

    Apprentice Year 3

The queen of pink herself, Aleesha brings the sunshine to our salon.

Since the age of 7, Aleesha knew she wanted to be a hairdresser and for the past three years, has loved transforming people’s confidence.

  • MOLLY MCKENNA

    Apprentice Year 1
If you’ve ever wondered whether a 6-year-old can braid hair, just ask Molly who mastered the artthen and never looked back. Since her childhood where she’d watch her hairstyle Nana work her magic, Molly knew she’d be behind the chair one day too.

Whilst she’s not at the stage of performing hair transformations herself, Molly adores watching the process unfold and taking our team’s tips and tricks on board. A creative soul, Molly is excited to master the art of colour, cuts and put those braiding skills to work.

When she’s not in the salon, you’ll find her playing netball, painting, and sketching.
